How to Use Latitude & Longitude Coordinates in Google Maps to Find a Place on an iPhone, Android, or Computer

Google Maps is number one and one of the most used mapping tools worldwide. Most of people search locations using Address and Pincode, but that is not the only way to find the location. You can also find locations using latitude, longitude coordinates.

How to Use & Find Latitude & Longitude Coordinates in Computer

You can find coordinates on the desktop as well. Just see quick steps:

• Open ‘Google Maps’: Open ‘maps.google.com’ to start Google maps.

• Search the location: Click on the search bar at the top and enter your location. Now you will see the location on the map.

• Drop a pin: Now, you can drop a pin on the map. Select the location and double-click on the location. You can also use zoom-in and zoom-out options to find the correct location.

• Click on the location: Now double click on the location.

• Click on ‘what’s here: Right-click on the location and find the ‘what’s here’ option. Click on it.

• Find the coordinates: When you do it, you will see the coordinates number below the location’s name at the bottom.

That's how you can find the latitude and longitude of the location.

How to Use & Find Latitude & Longitude Coordinates in Android & iPhone

You can find coordinates on your mobile app. It’s available on both Android and iPhone devices.

• Tap on search location: You can search a location on the search tab. Tap on it and enter the location.

• Scroll around the map: Now scroll around the map to find your desired place.

• Long press on the screen: Now, long press on the screen, and you can drop a pin on the particular location. Your location will pop up on the screen. Your pin will appear in red.

• See the search bar: When you drop in the location, you will find the coordinates in the search bar.

If you are an iPhone user, you need to share the location, and then you can know the coordinates.

• Tap on ‘share’: Tap on the ‘share’ option to share the location. Please share it with your phone number to get the drop pin link easily.

• Please open the link: Now, check the link in your messages and open it.

• Check the latitude and longitude: When you open the link, Google maps will open. Now you can see latitude and longitude both on your search bar.

How to Use Coordinates to Find a Location in Google Maps

If you have a set of GPS coordinates, such as for geocaching, enter the latitude and longitude into Google Maps to find the location and get directions.

• Go to the Google Maps website.

• Enter the coordinates in the search box at the top of the Google Maps screen in one of the three acceptable formats:

Degrees, minutes, seconds (DMS): for example, 36°59'21.2"N 84°13'53.3"W
Degrees and decimal minutes (DMM): for example, 36 59.35333 -84 13.888333
Decimal degrees (DD): for example, 36.989213,-84.231474
